SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

2017-2018 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum 2 years of college.

2. Experience of working with/supervising children.

3. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for providing continuity of instruction to students in the absence of regular faculty members.

2. Instructs assigned students employing varied instructional strategies.

3. Works cooperatively with colleagues, parents and administrators.

4. Performs other reasonably related duties as required.

Substitute teachers are paid $75.00 per day. Most assignments are full day.

Although we attempt to provide all substitute teachers equal access to available teaching assignments, we cannot guarantee any minimum number of assignments. As a substitute teacher, you are employed strictly on an on-call, per diem basis. It is difficult to anticipate how many days during the school year you might be called on to teach. However, substitute teachers who indicate flexibility with respect to assignment and availability have a distinct advantage. 

Please note, as a condition of employment, you will be required to complete and pass both a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check and a CHRI (fingerprint based) background check.
