Language-Based High School English Teacher:
.5 FTE
Provide language-based instruction to small groups of students with diagnosed language-based learning disabilities.
Qualifications:
Massachusetts teacher’s certification.
Massachusetts certification as Teacher of Children with Moderate Special Needs.
Experience and demonstrated expertise with recognized math and language-based approaches
Responsibilities:
Plan/implement English instruction for small groups of students with specific learning disabilities.
Conduct appropriate formative and summative assessments to inform teaching
Participate knowledgeably within IEP process and implement IEP accommodations
Work collaboratively on language-based team
Be organized and timely with grades, reports and various modes of parent communication
Case management of students (IEP development, parent & teacher communication)
Participate in building and special education staff meetings.
